What to Expect From a Foot Massage

A foot massage is a focused treatment designed around the feet, ankles, and lower legs. At Luxe Thai Massage, the experience depends on the session length you select.

Our 30-minute foot massage is performed while you are seated, while our 60-minute foot massage is provided while you are lying comfortably on a massage table. Pressure and technique can be adjusted throughout either session based on your comfort and preferences.

Massaging the Feet

30-Minute Seated Foot Massage

The 30-minute foot massage is performed while you are seated comfortably.

This focused session is a practical option when you want dedicated attention for your feet without scheduling a longer massage. The therapist may work around the soles, heels, arches, toes, ankles, and lower legs as appropriate.

Because the session is performed while seated, it provides a different experience from our longer table-based foot massage.

60-Minute Lying-Down Foot Massage

The 60-minute foot massage is performed while you are lying comfortably on a massage table.

The additional time allows your therapist to provide a slower and more complete treatment for the feet, ankles, and lower legs. Your session can be adjusted based on your pressure preference and the areas where you would like the therapist to spend the most time.

You will remain appropriately draped throughout the massage.

What Areas May Be Addressed?

Depending on your comfort and the session selected, your therapist may work on areas such as:

  • Soles of the feet

  • Heels

  • Arches

  • Toes

  • Tops of the feet

  • Ankles

  • Calves and lower legs

Your therapist will avoid any areas that are injured, irritated, unusually painful, or otherwise unsuitable for massage.

Choosing the Right Session

Choosing the Right Session

Choose the 30-minute seated session when you want a shorter, focused foot massage.

Choose the 60-minute lying-down session when you prefer additional time, a massage-table setting, and more detailed attention for your feet and lower legs.

Preparing for Your Foot Massage

Please arrive with clean feet and let your therapist know about any recent injuries, swelling, tenderness, skin irritation, or medical concerns that may affect the session.

Avoid applying heavy lotions, self-tanner, oils, or products that could transfer onto spa linens before your appointment.

Walk-ins are welcome when we are able to accommodate them, although availability cannot be guaranteed without an advance booking.

How Foot Massage Techniques Are Adjusted

Your therapist may combine steady pressure, kneading, compression and small circular movements around the soles, arches, heels, ankles, calves and lower legs, as appropriate for the session you selected.

Pressure does not need to be identical in every area. Sensitive areas may receive lighter attention, while the arches, heels or calves may be addressed with firmer pressure when comfortable.

The session is customized rather than performed as one fixed sequence. Tell your therapist whenever you would like the pressure changed, additional attention given to an area or an area avoided.

When Foot Massage May Not Be Appropriate

Please speak with a qualified healthcare professional before receiving massage if you have a recent foot or ankle injury, suspected blood clot, severe swelling, open wounds, active skin infection, loss of sensation, or another condition that could make massage unsuitable.

Massage is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
